About the game:

Build an entire civilization up from the Stone Age in only 30 minutes! In 7 Wonders, each player leads one of the seven greatest cities of the ancient world. Players move through three ages of a civilization, developing military, scientific, cultural, and economic achievements. How? By drafting cards. Players get seven cards from a deck, choose one, and then pass the rest to the next player. Everyone shows their cards at the same time and takes the actions they need (including interacting with other players or gathering/paying resources). Rinse and repeat until players have six cards in play (bet you thought we were going to say seven!) - that makes an age. The game is over after three ages (we creatively refer to these as the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age, of course).

This is a great game for groups as all players play at the same time - there is no downtime between turns (sorry, Instagrammers, but put the phones away for this one!). We carry the new edition of this game.

*Looking for a 2-player version? 7 Wonders Duel was designed just for you! This game does have a 2-player variant (one of the bonus features of the new edition), but we recommend Duel for 2.

Why we chose this game for Board's Edge Games:
  • Strategy - this game gets you thinking
  • Great for impatient gamers - no downtime between turns, and the game takes about 30 minutes. It's also quick to set-up and easy to learn while playing.
