About the game:

Calling all urban developers! Have you ever wanted to oversee thousands of years of industrialization in less than the time it takes to bake sourdough bread? (Note: writer has not made sourdough - this game takes about 30 mins though). Well this is your chance!

In the game, there are 24 episodes. This is a legacy game, which means the game will evolve and change over time as the decisions you make in past episodes affect future episodes. In particular, a chapter consists of three episodes and each chapter will have its own set of rules. The broad goal of the game is to build your city from complete green-field all the way through to an industrialized metropolis.

The game also comes with a non-legacy version so you can repeat/re-play.

Our Board's Edge team gets asked a lot for recommended legacy games to try. This type of game sounds really cool and innovative, especially if you're used to the classics, but legacy games tend to be pretty hard to pick up and play. Most of the legacy games we carry get our Level 3 rating, meaning they are the most complex games we carry. We love My City as it's a relatively simple, very fun game that introduces legacy games to a whole new type of gamer.
